Baby week is over and all the babies were born happy and healthy. I spent most of the last 3-4 days waiting in hospitals for them to arrive and then spending time with the precious new little ones:)
Nothing much going on around here today. Just trying to relax:) Savi has been giggling a lot lately and finally waving when you ask. She used to just do it when she wanted. I decided to get it all on video today. Enjoy:) Hope you had a good weekend!
Today at KellysKorner we are doing Show Us Your Life-Wedding Showers. My friends threw me a shower and it turned out beautiful. I remember it was in April and we had a random cold day where it called for snow possibly. Crazy….Texas weather for you:) I got some wonderful presents and had such a good time.
My sister and me.
My mom after playing the make your own wedding veil game:) Ravishing!
I have been a little busy the last couple of nights. 2 babies here and 1 to go. My friend, Kimberly, her baby was the same weight as Savi and born at 9:11pm which is Savi's birthday....9/11/08. Kinda interesting:) I am excited for tomorrow night. Cathy is in the hospital now and will be induced in the morning!
Savi was playing in the bedroom while I was getting ready and I turned around to find her pulling out all my breastfeeding cleaning clothes. Hiliarious:)
She can do whatever she wants....just to cute to resist. So instead I just take pictures of the mess:)
So I saw this today and thought it was super cute! It was only $2 to make and is based off a design from JCrew! I might just have to make one and put it in a closet for Savi later!
This week is baby week for me:) I have 3 friends being induced this week. 2 of my best friends are having there babies here in Dallas. Cathy on Friday and Kimberly goes in tonight/Wednesday. Another friend will have hers today in Austin. I am excited for them all and can't wait to meet all the new little ones. Luckily Savi is tiny for her age so she seems just like a little baby to me, but I am sure seeing all these newborns will make her seem huge! HA! I am praying for all of them this week....that all the labors go smoothly and all healthy babies arrive in there sweet arms! For two of them this is there first! Such an exciting time! I think I will quit my day job and just become a candy striper!
YEAH! My first award:) Over at The Holmes Home, I received a 1yr of blogging award. I am not very good at keeping up with those anniversaries but I am so glad someone else is. HA! I will try and pay attention for something like my 500th post and do a giveaway or something fun like that. Anyway, I love blogging and never thought I would. It started out with my husband blogging when we got pregnant. He would always bug me to post because I was the one that was pregnant so surely I could relay the feelings better than he could:) I wasn't really confident in my writing skills, but I have learned that it doesn't matter to much. I work on them though, I promise! I took over the blog once he got to busy with some other stuff and ever since then I have been hooked! THANKS for the award!!
Got this off of Nicolasa's blog and thought it was kinda fun! I changed one question though just because I am fun like that. Enjoy:)
1. Who are you?
2. How did you find my blog?
3. What do you like most on my blog?
4. List a blog that you follow that you think I might enjoy also?
5. A totally random fact about yourself! .
Happy Monday!
Ps. Savi is finally feeling better. It was a long weekend but we figured out that she had Roseola. Nothing to serious but I have never heard of it until now. Basically a very high fever for 3-7 days and then they break out in a rash. Usually once they have had it they never have it again. Oh well, done with that battle onto the next!:)
This week at Kelly's Korner we are doing "Show Us Your Life" Baby Showers! I was blessed enough to have 4 showers. 2 baby showers, one daddy shower, and a sip and see. My first shower was thrown by one of my best friends, Cathy. I think one of my favorite things was the cake. LOVED IT! I was so excited since it was my first shower. We got lots of great stuff!
Me and Kristin
Little Savi has been sick since Tuesday. We noticed a fever and took her to the doctor yesterday. I thought it was an ear infection. She is relatively happy just mellow and tired a lot. No runny nose or congestion either. The doc said she looked very healthy and no ear infection or cold. He said it must be a viral infection/baby flu. We went home with some instructions and she had an ok day. Last night though her temp spiked to 104.3 and we felt like the ER might be in need. Her heart was racing and it really scared Charlie and I. We gave her a luke warm bath and let the doc do the rest. We might be back at the pedi today. We will see. If it is just a viral we will have to just let it run its course. It is scary when it is your first one:( Pray for Savi to get better and get all the rest she needs.
This weekend was so fun. Marissa and her bf, Josh, came into town. See below for our awesome Friday night party. Before that on Friday morning I took a PTO day at work to play some golf with my dad. It has been since I was 4 months pregnant with Savi that I have played. I am by no means great, but I was more or less impressed that I didn't suck big time since it had been so long since I played. It wasn't to hot and I had a great time with my dad.
Marissa leaves Tuesday morning and I will be so sad! I love that chic with all my heart and always can't wait for her to come home the next time. Luckily she will be meeting up with us at the beach in 2 weeks so it won't be to long. After that will be the long stretch til November. The first time she left for school I cried a lot and it has gotten better since. But it is still always hard. Love ya sis!
Friday night Charlie and I hosted a murder mystery party! It was SO MUCH FUN! I was definitely excited before hand, but it turned out even better. There were 10 of us and everyone got into there characters. The setting was a "annual costume ball held at the Walgrave Astoria, and all the who's who of the town attends." Everyone comes in and gets a name tag and a envelope with there round 1 clues/objectives. They had stuff like "go talk to Dr. Jonas and ask him why he hates Royal T so much" or told you things about yourself like "you hate Royal T because she won't give up her land so that you can build your multi million dollar hotel." You just mingle for a bit and let everyone have a chance to complete there clues. We served some appetizers and wine and let me tell you we had some awarding winning actors/actresses on our hands! It was hilarious! I then passed out round 2 clues and served dinner. We ate and mingled some more and then played a game that was given to me as part of the mystery. Just sort of a party game. (As the host I was instructed to put a victim sign, some tape, and some yellow crate paper or crime scene tape in the closest bathroom before any of the guest arrived) Well the party game was a cue for one of the players to go into the bathroom and dress themselves up as the victim who had just been murdered. So we then saw who had been murdered and I then read some evidence that came with the game. We all had some post evidence stuff to read that went with our clues. I then served dessert and we all went around and accused people of who did it/motives. Round 3 clues are then handed out and we each go around and read them. The last person to read was the murderer. Turned out to be Charlie! I had guessed him:) This was a great party and super fun. Just search murder mystery parties on the internet and there are tons of choices for downloading for anywhere between $10-$50.
Everyone is a character dressed up as a character since it was a costume ball that we were attending. Here is Kristin as a flapper and me as a princess. My character was Nicole Wilton who is a hotel heiress. Very uptight and snobby! Kristin was Fiona Fingstein and was a accountant who was uptight and inflexible.
Shocked at the answer of who was the murderer! Charlie...Dr. Jonas!
Group picture:)
I also love New York City. Only for vactioning ( I could never live there). I have been twice. Once in the summer and once during Christmas. Christmas was way better. I danced all through 6yrs and up and in highschool my dance team was invited to dance in the Macy's Day Thanksgiving Parade. Well by November the whole city is already decorated for Christmas. It was so pretty and festive! I spent Thanksgiving walking the whole parade route and dancing in front of thousands of people and then saw the rockettes later that day. It was the best! The broadway shows are amazing and the shopping is pretty awesome too!:) My husband hates the idea of a busy city for a vacation. One day I hope to drag him there though just so we can do it together:)
