Flannel PJ's

Saturday, November 27, 2010

Last year my mom wanted to do her Christmas photo with all of us in matching pj's. But it was to late to get them all ordered and it didn't work out. Well this year it did and we took them last week. Mind you it was 80 degrees outside...ha!

Now I know all two year olds are hard to get to sit still and take pictures. But I truly believe Savi is a little worse. The child WILL.NOT.SIT.STILL for a photo. No concept of sit right here so mommy can get your photo. She knows what a camera is and pretends with one all the time. She says "cheese" and "smile" plenty. But when it comes to her...it ain't happening. She only does pretty good when you hold her. That is always daddy's job!

Needless to say, getting a picture with her was a little rough. We got a few and I think my mom is going with this one. We took some of just our family, but I haven't seen them yet. Maybe those will turn out:) Iv'e got other pics in mind for our Christmas card if we need a back up.

PS. The girl on the far left is my parents exchange student from Germany. She has been with them for the last 4 months and will be through the year. She has been a delight and very fun to show America too!

Windy Weekend

Monday, November 22, 2010

Friday we went out to eat for my moms birthday. It was fun to all get together. When we got home we put up our Christmas stuff. Just couldn't help ourselves. Charlie had gotten it all out that day and then we put most of it up Friday night. We are waiting to put up our second tree till we have a free night with Savannah, so that she can help. One day when I host Thanksgiving, I will actually leave it all up till the day after:)

All weekend it was windy. Just plain annoying. Saturday, the kids and I just stayed in for most of the day and later went over to Nanie's house so she could watch the kids while I went to work. Sunday was the day of rest except a quick trip to Walmart. There was a tree lighting in the area that I work, but once again so windy that I was just sort of deterred from going.

Just before I left for work this morning, this little guy was holding his toy:) Happy Monday!

Ps. Today we are taking family christmas pictures and it's 80 degrees today. Gotta love Texas!

Way Better Than...

Tom Cruise:) I mean right? I can't get enough! I've been spending my free time having quiet moments like the one below...

We are officially learning the word SHARE in our house. Savi is so good with her brother. She pats his little head, covers him with blankets, gives him kisses. But when the toys come out...oh no. We pulled out some old baby toys we had put in the closet for baby charlie to play with. Savannah of course was interested since she hadn't seen these in quite sometime. She didn't snatch them from him, but simply just took them away as if to say no no your not big enough for toys. Either way, we would give them back to him and she would take away. Getting angry when we gave them to him. Uh oh....and so begins the battle of learning to share:)

Trick or Treat

Wednesday, November 03, 2010

It was beautiful weather. We got dressed up and off we went. Baby C just hung out and fell asleep:) Savannah did one whole row of a street both sides and that was enough...lol She picked up more acorns than she did candy for her bucket. HA! All about helping the neighbors and being green:)

Love my baby boy:)

So sweet:)

My friend Kristin came out with us!

A peacock out in nature:)

She did so good!

Baby C fell asleep:)
Treats from Nanie and Papa

Hard earned candy!

Daddy had to work, so we didn't see him till just before bed when we got home.

Happy Halloween!

Monday, November 01, 2010

At work we were allowed to dress up. My friend, Kristin and I, dressed up as flapper girls:) We also carved a pumpkin for a contest. It was for our TX Rangers who didn't quite pull it together last night:)!

We started our Halloween weekend with trick or treating at Nanie's office (my mom). My mom's office lets each department make up a game and have the kids come around and get candy. She works for a major movie theater company, so the candy is concession candy! :) Full size and all! Savannah has had a little bit of a cold and wouldn't nap that day, so we were worried. But she pulled through and seemed to have fun! She was a peacock this year. I made her costume!

Finished product!

My little peacock:)

Eating one piece of candy before we head home:)
