Snip Snip

Savannah finally got her first hair cut. She did SO GOOD! I was really proud of her. We took her to Sweet N Sassy for her first cut. She watched The Little Mermaid and didn't squirm one bit. They cut just a little off. It looked nice and fresh and she still has her curls! Topped her off with some glitter in the hair, a heart tattoo on her face, and a sucker. She looked like such a big girl getting her hair cut:)

Happy Valentine's Day!

Monday, February 13, 2012

I had a little fun this year with the holiday. Ok, a lot of fun:)

Last night I got together with my friend Jackie and we made a cute pinterest project. Yummy, easy, and cheap!

We gave the kids a few extra things then we normally would due to being super lucky and being given the toys in the pic and saving them for vday:)

Valetines might be a "fake" holiday, but who cares. A day set aside to make sure you let the people around you know you love them is ok by me. Just make sure you do it throughout the year as well:) Happy Valentine's Day!

Left Side of the Brain

Monday, February 13, 2012

I love projects with the kids. Just finding the energy and time can be hard. But when we do, it is so worth it!!! Savannah got this great easel and she has asked to paint every day since I set it up. Every time I ask her what she is painting, she says "a tiger." lol Who knows why:)

Warm Enough

Sunday, February 12, 2012

I laughed pretty hard at myself when I posted a couple weeks ago about 60 being warm enough to go to the zoo. I know some of you are in much colder weather. But alas this is why I LOVE Texas! I love the random warm week to get me through the winter. And our small snows that are gone by the next day. It suits me perfectly:) Sometimes the allergies that come with the weather change are annoying, but that is ok.

So we decided to take advantage of the beautiful day and my dad and I took the kids to the zoo. It ended up being the perfect day:) The kids had a great time and so did papa. I love doing things like this with my parents and Charlie's parents. My grandparents lived far away. I loved them but our relationship was only so close. I only got to see them once or twice a year. I'm so blessed and thankful the kids get to see both sides very often. It means the world to me!
