Charlie and I took Savannah to a resort outside of Austin called Horseshoe Bay. It is a Marriott property of course;) It was very family oriented and I would strongly recommend to anyone in the area. They had a full day of activities for kids and families. They had pools and a man made beach off the lake. We arrived in the afternoon and went straight for the pool. Had dinner in the room and a quiet evening. Then the next morning we went to the beach and pool. Savi was wiped and took a great nap. Then of course we went back to the pool and enjoyed free snow cones pool side:) Went out to dinner Saturday night and then crashed again! Sunday was more beach and pool and then we headed home. It was such a great little getaway!
To begin our little vacation we went to the Dallas Zoo. The drive to the resort is about 4 hours, so we thought we would take Savi to the zoo in the morning and really wear her out. That way she would sleep most of the way down there. We packed up everything for the trip, and of course it looked like we were leaving for Europe:) We got to the zoo right when it opened. Savannah was very interested in all the animals this year. She did so good and I think she really enjoyed it! Every time we would leave certain animals, she would say "bye bye birdies (flamingos) or bye bye monkeys." They had this whole new exhibit called Savanna! It was really cool. It was like you were really in Africa and looking out into the open plains. And you could feed and pet the giraffes! Here are some of our pictures from the day.....
This is pregnant with Savi...
Then we went last year in the summer:)
So our plan worked. Literally as we are walking out to the car she is ready to go to sleep on my shoulder:) There is a special zoo themed McDonalds right outside the zoo that we took her to. She perked up for a happy meal and then was in and out of sleep for the next 4 hours before we could even get on the highway. She was a dream on the way down. Not a peep from her. Next will be our time at the resort....aka..more pictures;)
Charlie and I celebrated 3 years of marriage on June 3rd. Is that our golden anniversary like your golden birthday? He was very sweet and got me a gift card to Victorias Secret and we had a nice dinner the night before while my parents watched Savannah. 3 years doesn't seem that long, but it does at the same time. I'm sure 5 years of marriage will feel CRAZY! lol Things have been a little crazy lately, so pretty sure we didn't even take a picture. But that weekend we did a little family/anniversary getaway weekend trip to the Horseshoe Bay Marriott outside of Austin. That will be my next monster post to tackle!!
Had an appointment a week ago. Things were good. Just a quick boring appointment. Obligatory pee in cup, weight check, blood pressure, and find heartbeat. Only 1lb gain for last month. I think the next appointment will be a tad higher of a jump:) Next appointment is the glucose screening. I don't hate the drink all that much actually. It's orange flavored and kinda like koolaid. It's the drawing of the blood. I don't have issues with blood per say, just don't love the poke. Oh well, gotta do it for baby Charlie! Below is my 25 week photo:)
