Savannah has already started getting daddy used to the many tea parties he will have to participate in:) We noticed a couple nights ago Savi was playing with some cups at the table. To our surprise she was actually pretending to eat/drink from them and then would make the noise with her mouth as if she were chewing or swallowing. I wanted to eat her up...it was to cute! Charlie got it on video!
We have had a great weekend. I have been off since before Friday and we have just been doing family stuff. Wednesday was the zoo and Thursday we just laid low and I taught dance. After dance me and the girls went out to celebrate Kimberly's 25th birthday! We went to the West Village to a restaurant called Tom Tom. I had never been there before but it was very good. I enjoyed our little mini girls night! Thanks Kim for turning 25:)
Friday Charlie was being sweet and offered to go to the mall with me. So we packed up Savi and headed to the mall. I called my family just to see what they were up to and turned out they were headed the same direction. So we all had lunch at Pei Wei and then shopped a bit. Marissa is in town, so I was happy to see her! We went home to rest for a bit and then back over to my parents house for dinner and a pre birthday celebration for Savi with her Aunt Missy. Marissa won't be here next Friday so we did presents on Friday. She loved her toys and actually kinda opened them herself because they were wrapped in bags and she loves to pull things out of bags right now.
Charlie went to work for the weekend as usual. Savi and I played together in the morning and went on our usual walk. Then we headed over to my parents just to hang out for a bit. We went home to rest and then Savi's great grandparents are in town so we went to Charlie's parents for a big dinner and let Savi see her GG. The food was so good and Savi did great. We kept her up a little past her bedtime but she was very good! Sunday was spent lounging and running errands. I am getting things ready for her birthday party next week.
Monday we had breakfast with mims, pops, and the great grandparents. We said goodbye over a yummy breakfast! Charlie and I just hung for the day and Savi took a great afternoon nap. We had such a great day! Savi and I went to say goodbye to Aunt Missy. We will miss her!
So I have just started embracing google reader and figuring out all the ins and outs. BUT my one questions is....Is there a way to comment on peoples blogs within google reader? I have been opening each persons blog in a new tab if I want to comment because non of the options at the bottom of the posts seem to be for commenting within google reader. Is this correct or am I missing something? Thanks for any help:)
This week at KellysKorner we are showing school pictures. I only have one that I could find scanned in already. The rest are at my moms house in scrapbook albums. We went to private school growing up so this is us ready for the first day in our lovely red uniforms. Could my sister and I get any bigger glasses??? Thank God for contacts:)
I am off from work through Labor day! So nice:) Today we took Savi to the zoo! We had a great time and it actually wasn't ridiculously hot. Savi was very good. She looked intently at some animals and others she didn't give the time of day. I am sure she won't remember going but a) I took pictures to prove we took her so I will be sure to show her in 10 years and b) it was fun and a great family activity:) It was also not crowded at all! We got to park up close and there was only a small handful of people walking around. Charlie is not a fan of crowds.....basically today was his perfect scenario!
Tomorrow we are taking Savi's one year pictures and I will be celebrating my good friend, Kimberly, birthday! The big 25! Happy early birthday girlie!
Baby week is over and all the babies were born happy and healthy. I spent most of the last 3-4 days waiting in hospitals for them to arrive and then spending time with the precious new little ones:)
Nothing much going on around here today. Just trying to relax:) Savi has been giggling a lot lately and finally waving when you ask. She used to just do it when she wanted. I decided to get it all on video today. Enjoy:) Hope you had a good weekend!
Today at KellysKorner we are doing Show Us Your Life-Wedding Showers. My friends threw me a shower and it turned out beautiful. I remember it was in April and we had a random cold day where it called for snow possibly. Crazy….Texas weather for you:) I got some wonderful presents and had such a good time.
My sister and me.
My mom after playing the make your own wedding veil game:) Ravishing!

I have been a little busy the last couple of nights. 2 babies here and 1 to go. My friend, Kimberly, her baby was the same weight as Savi and born at 9:11pm which is Savi's birthday....9/11/08. Kinda interesting:) I am excited for tomorrow night. Cathy is in the hospital now and will be induced in the morning!
Savi was playing in the bedroom while I was getting ready and I turned around to find her pulling out all my breastfeeding cleaning clothes. Hiliarious:)She can do whatever she wants....just to cute to resist. So instead I just take pictures of the mess:)
So I saw this today and thought it was super cute! It was only $2 to make and is based off a design from JCrew! I might just have to make one and put it in a closet for Savi later!

This week is baby week for me:) I have 3 friends being induced this week. 2 of my best friends are having there babies here in Dallas. Cathy on Friday and Kimberly goes in tonight/Wednesday. Another friend will have hers today in Austin. I am excited for them all and can't wait to meet all the new little ones. Luckily Savi is tiny for her age so she seems just like a little baby to me, but I am sure seeing all these newborns will make her seem huge! HA! I am praying for all of them this week....that all the labors go smoothly and all healthy babies arrive in there sweet arms! For two of them this is there first! Such an exciting time! I think I will quit my day job and just become a candy striper!

Here is a shower that I threw with some other ladies in a suite at the hotel I work at.
This was a game where the bride walked around with an apron full of cooking utensils and kitchen stuff in general. Then she took if off and we had to see how many we could remember.
