Big Girl

Saturday, January 30, 2010

Savannah is growing up so fast. While we are not moving her to a big girl bed for awhile, we went ahead and purchased a toddler bed for her. It actually has turned out quite well. It sits in our extra bedroom (to be nursery) and she just plays in it all day. Hopefully she will be so used to it by the time we move her, we will have an easier transition. She likes to crawl up and down it and just play in it. We say night night, and she repeats those words and lays over in bed. Then she does a pretend snore. It's hilarious!

Cravings are so strange. Especially when you don’t feel well and are dealing with morning sickness. I don’t crave anything at night, because mostly I am just sick to my stomach and force myself to eat. In the mornings I work on getting going and generally throw up the crackers and water I have consumed in the last thirty minutes. Then after that I am pretty hungry and eat any kind of breakfast food for the most part. Except milk, that doesn’t mix with an upset stomach. During the day I feel like I totally crave sugar. Of course….so bad for me. I am just eating to eat and during the day it helps me feel better and less nauseous. I will post a boring belly pic soon. But I thought it would be fun to keep better track this time of my growth. I took pictures last time, but more so at milestone weeks than every week.

One thing I mostly want nothing to do with right now....fried chicken and chicken fingers! That is the first time in my life I have ever felt that way! CRAZY!

Happy Wednesday!

Playroom Remodel

Sunday, January 24, 2010

I have been wanting to spruce up our playroom for quite some time. I got this idea from http://www.designdazzle.blogspot.com/ and I loved how it turned out! It wasn't to hard either. Took probably about 4 hours. The entire wall is scrapbook 12x12 paper. I just bought a pre set pack, but you can always literally pick out each sheet. Then I just bought these things called glue dots. I measured in on both sides and just made it even across. There are lots of ways you could measure it out depending on how you want things to fit.
I also added this little saying to the wall. The bedding I got has fairies on it, so it went well. The whole room redo cost me about $50. The paper and glue dots were $13 at Hobby Lobby, the bedding I found on ebay for $30, and the saying was $4 on ebay. I still need a book shelf/tv stand to finish it out and maybe a rug. But for now I'm content:)

Excuses

Saturday, January 23, 2010

Ok, so I have a really good reason as to why I have been the worst blogger of the year!

I'm pregnant! We are so excited!!! I found out new years eve and told Charlie that night. More on that story later;) I am due September 10th, one day before Savi's birthday. Crazy! I'm literally pregnant the exact same time frame I was the first time. I am so sick right now just like I was with Savannah. Hopefully like last time, it will pass around the end of the first trimester.

MIA

Wednesday, January 13, 2010

I have been MIA. I hate that! I feel so behind on my google reader and it is such a task to catch up! I will catch up tonight though:) I have been very busy with lots of changes, my tv shows are finally back, and lets face it....a 16 month old is always keeping me busy! We also have been experiencing ridiculously cold weather. The kind that makes you want to curl up and do NOTHING! Also not good for my google reader. Hope everyone is having a great week! Many posts soon to catch up:)

Change

Wednesday, January 06, 2010

Change isn't really my thing. I am a planner. I like to know everything and plan as much as I can. Doing something unknown is not impossible for me, but not my favorite. I can be real weird though, just ask my husband. One time he moved around all the furniture in our living room and didn't tell me. That kinda stuffs irks me! I have to be part of the change or I am real against it. Coming home to that surprise was not a good one. I know I am weird and I try to keep it to a minimum, but it is hard. Anyway….all this to say we are about to make a big change. A job change. I wasn't really looking for a new job, but one just sort of fell in my lap. It is pretty much completely different than what I am doing, but still in the same industry. Hospitality that is. So I am familiar, but have a lot to learn. I prayed, discussed, and analyzed till I was blue in the face about what the right choice was. Us OCD planners tend to do that sort of thing:) Charlie was supportive either way. Somehow I just felt like this was the right time for a change for us. I have no idea what the future holds for us, but it does offer me to work from home some, of course a pay increase, learning new things, and new experiences. I am going to embrace my decision and hope for the best! But ya'll, change is so not my thing!

Happy New Year!

Friday, January 01, 2010

We celebrated new years pretty low key:) My parents threw a small dinner party. Charlie's mom watched Savi for us. We just went over there for a couple hours. It was good food and good company. We picked up our daughter and headed home. I went to sleep pretty early and woke up around midnight just in time to ring in the new year:) For like a second before I went back to sleep!

Not drunk here at all, just being silly with sissy!
Love him!
My sisters boyfriend, Josh, my sis, and Paige:)

I have a beautiful daughter, loving husband, wonderful family, my health, and a job. 2009 has been pretty good to us, but 2010 brings many changes and I can only hope for great things! Stay tuned! HAPPY NEW YEAR!

Rewind

Friday, January 01, 2010

With all the holidays and busy schedule, I didn't get to post about the inaugural college basketball game that we went to at the Cowboys Stadium. It was the first one held there and it was between UT vs. UNC! We are big UNC fans. Unfortunately that was the same day as Charlie's family Christmas. My dad had bought the tickets months ago, so I went while he took Savi and him to the party.

We had a lot of fun. We had good seats and let me just say the stadium is AWESOME. The whole thing is so nice and the screen above is HUGE! It is a really cool place to watch any sporting event. UNC didn't win, but we had a great time!
